Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is the most economical way to send my personal belongings to Brazil?

The shipping cost depends on a few factors.
While there are many economical ways to transport your goods, your mode of shipping will depend on the type of goods you’re shipping, how soon you need them delivered and your budget. If you have fewer items that aren’t very heavy, you can choose consolidated or LCL shipping.

Q2. What items cannot be transported?

This depends on the customs regulations of the country you’re moving to.

Restricted items will vary depending on the customs regulations of your destination country. Factors like high air pressure and change in temperature might lead to leakage or ignition for some items, which is why they are restricted on airplanes. A reliable international moving company will be able to guide you on the customs process and provide a list of items that cannot be included in your shipment.

Q3. Are the shipping containers airtight?

No, they are not.

Although the containers are usually insulated on all sides with rubber seals and adhesive, they are not airtight. Changes in temperature and humidity during the journey can affect the containers, hence damaging the goods within.

Q4. Is consolidated shipping the right option for me?

This depends on the size and type of goods.

Consolidated shipping is ideal for someone who has palletized freight. However, one of the key requirements of consolidated shipping is that it must move seamlessly across the dock.
